Concerts

Concerts featuring Campus Ministry choirs are held in the Basilica at key times throughout the academic year. Annual concerts include Advent Lessons & Carols in December and Commencement concerts in May.

Upcoming for Spring 2025:

Celtic Psalms: Sacred Concert

Friday, March 21, 8:00 p.m., Basilica of the Sacred Heart

Join us for a sacred concert featuring Celtic Psalms, a music group composed of the Rev. Kiran Young Wimberly and the renowned McGrath Family from County Tyrone, Ireland, live at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Immerse yourself in a night of ancient psalms, reimagined with stunningly beautiful traditional Irish and Scottish melodies, and rich harmonies, celebrating a deep spiritual and cultural heritage. This concert is free and open to the public.

Stabat Mater: Magnificat Choir's Palm Sunday Concert

Palm Sunday, April 13, 8:00 p.m., Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Wednesday, April 16, 6:00 p.m., Our Lady of the Road in South Bend

Experience the Stations of the Cross through Mary's eyes as the Magnificat Choir presents Pergolesi's Stabat Mater with baroque orchestra in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. With this devotional concert, you'll encounter each Station of the Cross as it is paired with Pergolesi's timeless score and inspiring words from the Catholic Worker movement. A freewill offering will be accepted to support Our Lady of the Road, the Catholic Worker's daytime drop-in center in South Bend.

Many of the University of Notre Dame's organ recitals will also be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Click here for the full list of upcoming recitals.
