Schedule Your Wedding

Nine to 12 months before your wedding: When you schedule your wedding, you reserve your date with the Basilica with the understanding that all of the requirements are completed.

Reservations for weddings in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Log Chapel for the year 2011 will open on Monday, March 1, 2010.

All reservations must be made by phone at (574) 631-4288. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Wedding times are Fridays: 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, and Saturdays: 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, or 3:00 pm, on non–football weekends or dates of other major University events.

Please have this information available when you make your reservation:

  • The name of the bride and groom
  • Their affiliation with the university (i.e. year of graduation)
  • Religion of both bride and groom
  • Address of where the confirmation should be mailed
  • Phone number of either the bride or groom
  • Dates and times you are interested in

You may celebrate your wedding in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart if you are:

  • currently a Notre Dame student
  • an alumnus/a of Notre Dame
  • currently a member of the faculty or an administrator of the University
  • a member of Sacred Heart Parish

Diocesan guidelines require that weddings be celebrated in the Basilica, the Lady Chapel, or the Log Chapel, and in no other chapels on campus.
