Opening Hymn

1. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the king of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear: Brothers and sisters, draw near,

Keeping us safe at his side, and so gently sustaining.
Have you not seen All you have needed has been

1. It is he who keeps faith for ever, who is just to those who are oppressed.

the Lord, who protects the stranger and upholds the widow and orphan. R.

3. It is the Lord who loves the just but thwarts the path of the wicked.

The Lord Gave Them Bread (Guimont)

R. The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

1. The things we have heard and understood,
the things our ancestors have told us,
these we will not hid from their children
but will tell them to the next generation: R.

2. The glories and might of the Lord
and the marvelous deeds God has done. R.

3. Yet God commanded the clouds above
and opened the gates of heaven;
God rained down manna for their food,
and gave them read from heaven. R.

4. Mere mortals ate the bread of angels.
The Lord sent them meat in abundance.
So God brought them to that holy land,
