Opening Hymn
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty (Text: Lobe den Herren, den mächtigen König/Joachim Neander, Tune: Lobe den Herren)
1. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the king of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear: Brothers and sisters, draw near,
Praise him in glad adoration!
2. Praise to the Lord, above all things so mightily reigning;
Keeping us safe at his side, and so gently sustaining.
Have you not seen All you have needed has been
Met by his gracious ordaining?
3. Praise to the Lord, who shall prosper our work and defend us;
Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend us.
Ponder anew What the Almighty can do,
Who with his love will befriend us.
4. Praise to the Lord O let all that is in us adore him!
All that has life and breath come now with praises before him!
Let the "Amen!" sound from his people again
Gladly with praise we adore him!

Preparation of the Altar and Gifts
Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal (Shaw)
Hark I hear the harps eternal ringing on the farther shore,
As I near those swollen waters, with their deep and solemn roar.
Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, hallelujah, glory to the great I AM.
And my soul though stained with sorrow, fading as the light of day
Passes swiftly o'er those waters to the city far away
Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, hallelujah, glory to the great I AM.
Souls have crossed before me, saintly, to that land of perfect rest;
And I hear them singing faintly in the mansions of the blest.
Hallelujah, praise the Lamb, hallelujah, glory to the great I AM.
Communion Antiphon
The Lord Gave Them Bread (Guimont)
R. The Lord gave them bread from heaven.
1. The things we have heard and understood,
the things our ancestors have told us,
these we will not hid from their children
but will tell them to the next generation: R.
2. The glories and might of the Lord
and the marvelous deeds God has done. R.
3. Yet God commanded the clouds above
and opened the gates of heaven;
God rained down manna for their food,
and gave them read from heaven. R.
4. Mere mortals ate the bread of angels.
The Lord sent them meat in abundance.
So God brought them to that holy land,
to the mountain that was won by his hand. R.
Communion Chant (mode II)
| Dominus regit me, | The Lord is my Shepherd |
| et nihil mihi deerit: |
and I shall want nothing: |
| in loco pascuae ibi me collocavit: |
he has set me in a land of |
| super aquam refectionis | abundant pastures: |
| educavit me. | he has led me to |
| life-renewing waters. |
Communion Anthem
Behold The Tabernacle (Harris)
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,and the Spirit of God dwelleth within you:
for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are:
for the love of whom you do this day celebrate the joys of the temple
with a season of festivity. Alleluia.
Concluding Hymn
Allelluaia! Sing to Jesus (Text: William C. Dix, Tune: Hyfrydol)
1. Alleluia! sing to Jesus! His the scepter, his the throne:
Alleluia! his the triumph, His the victory alone;
Hark! the songs of peaceful Zion Thunder like a mighty flood;
Jesus out of ev'ry nation Has redeemed us by his blood.
2. Alleluia! not as orphans Are we left in sorrow now:
Alleluia! he is near us, Faith believes, nor questions how:
Though the cloud from sight received him, When forty days were o'er:
Shall our hearts forget his promise, "I am with you evermore"?
3. Alleluia! Bread of Angels, Here on earth our food, our stay!
Alleluia! here the sinful Flee to you from day to day:
Intercessor, friend of sinners, Earth's redeemer, plead for me,
Where the songs of all the sinless Sweep across the crystal sea.
4. Alleluia! King eternal, You the Lord of lords we on;
Alleluia! born of Mary, Earth your foot stool, heav'n your throne:
You, within the veil, have entered, Robed in flesh, our great high priest;
Here on earth both priest and victim In the eucharistic feast.
