Enter in and be our guest, Alleluia!
In our labor inward rest, Alleluia!
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm (89)90, 12-13 .14-15 .16-17 (Guimont)
R. Fill us with your love, O Lord, and we will sing for joy!
1. Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.
Return, O Lord! How long? Have pity on your servants! R.
2. Fill us at daybreak with your kindness, that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.
Make us glad, for the days when you afflicted us, for the years when we saw evil.
R.
3. Let your work be seen by your servants and your glory by their children;
And may the gracious care of the Lord our God be ours;
prosper the work of our hands for us! Prosper the work of our hands! R.
Preparation of the Altar and Gifts
Os justi (Bruckner)
O justi meditabitur sapientiam. |
The mouth of the just shall mediate wisdom |
| et lingua ejus loquctur juidcium. | and his tongue shall speak judgment. |
| Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius, | The law of his God is in his heart |
| et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus. Alleluia. |
and his steps shall not be supplanted. Alleluia. |
Communion Antiphon
Psalm (33)34 (Proulx)
R. Taste and see the goodness of the Lord, taste and see.
1. I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise always on my lips;
in the Lord my soul shall make its boast. The humble shall hear and be glad. R.
2. Glorify he Lord with me. Together let us praise his name.
I sought the Lord and he answered me; from all my terrors he set me free
. R.
3. Look towards him and be radiant; let your faces not be abashed.
This poor man called; the Lord heard him and rescued him from all his distress. R.
4. The angel of the Lord is encamped around those who revere him, to rescue them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is happy who seeks refuge in him. R.
5. Revere the Lord, you his saints. They lack nothing, those who rever him.
Strong lions suffer want and go hungry but those who seek the Lord lack no blessing. R.
6. Come, children, and hear me that I may teach you the fear of the Lord.
Who is he who longs for life and many days, to enjoy his prosperity? R.
7. Then keep your tonuge from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.
Turn aside from evil and do good; seek and strive after peace. R.
8. The Lord turns his face against the wicked to destroy their remembrance from the earth.
The Lord turns his eyes to the just and his ears to their appeal.
R.
9. They call and the Lord hears and rescues them in all their distress.
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; those whose spirit is crushed he will save. R.
10. Many are the trials of the just man but from them all the Lord will rescue him
He will keep guard over all his bones, not one of his bones shall be broken. R.
11. Evil brings death to the wicked; those who hate the good are doomed.
The Lord ransoms the souls of his servants. Those who hide in him shall not be condemned. R.
12. Give praise to the Father Almighty, to his Son, Jesus Christ, the Lord,
to the Spirit who dwells in our hearts, both now and forever. Amen. R.

From wose pierced side flowed water and blood: |
| Esto nobis praegustatum in mortis examine. Amen. |
Be for us a foretaste in death's agnoy. Amen. |
Concluding Hymn
For the Healing of the Nations (Text: Fred Kaan,
Tune: Westminster Abbey)
1. For the healing of the nations,
Lord we pray with one accord;
For a just and equal sharing
Of the things that earth affords.
To a life of love and action
Help us rise and pledge our word.
2. Lead us now, Lord, into freedom,
From despair your world release;
That reedemed from war and hated,
All may come and go in peace.
Show us how through care and goodness
Fear will die and hope increase.
3. All that kills abundant living,
Let it from the earth be banned;
Pride of status, race or schooling,
Dogmas that obscure your plan.
In our common quest for justice
May we hallow life's brief span.
4. You, creator God, have written
Your great name on humankind;
For our growing in your likeness
Bring the life of Christ to mind:
That by our response and service
Earth its destiny may find.
